Erica Lieberman is the head trainer and owner of Pawsibilities Training and Behavior. Her fascination with animals motivated her to want to better understand dogs and how they learn. After completing her B.A. at Hamilton College and her Masters at The New School, she knew she wanted to work with animals. She began to pursue different careers working with dogs, and educating herself on dog behavior. In 2012, after 5 years working at New York's largest dog day care company, Erica opened Pawsibilities Training & Behavior!
Erica believes training your dog should be a relationship-building exercise, not a demonstration of force, power or pain. She will help you to use reward-based problem solving to reinforce the behaviors that you want to see more. If you work with Erica, you can rest assured that your dog, and you, will be treated with the most humane, science-based, and up-to-date methods available.
“No dog is too old to learn a new trick! I work with all breeds, of all ages; I am here to help you and your family accomplish your goals.”-Erica
Erica is the first Victoria Stilwell Positively Dog Trainer, on Long Island. Erica believes in continuing her education, and always striving to offer her clients the most current and humane methods.
Puppy and New Dog Prep:
Adding a new family member into the mix can be a very difficult time; I am here to help! From puppy or new dog selection advice, to in-home consultations, we will make the transition as smooth as possible.
Everyone needs to practice; humans and dogs alike. Whether teaching a new cue or proofing an old behavior, positive reinforcement works and I am happy to show how truly powerful a tool it can be.
Even the best dogs have bad days, but if those days are starting to add up, don’t wait; please reach out for help! I understand how difficult these times can be and will work out a plan with you so that you can get your best friend back.
We offer day camp here at Camp Pawsibilities! All dogs start out as freshman, and work their way up to being graduating seniors! This is an exciting program that combines training and socialization, and the best part is, as your dog advances, you save money!
Freshmen require the most attention, training and guidance so this program is more expensive than the sophomore program, and so on. As your dog graduates levels he is entitled to longer house as well. Day camp is a fun and helpful way to supplement the training you are doing with your dog in your home.
We at Pawsibilities do not believe in taking your dog and training him for you; training your dog is part of strengthening your relationship, so we really love for owners to be involved as much as possible. That being said, we all go away sometimes, and need a safe place for our pets!
At Pawsibilities we are proud to offer boarding. We offer a unique mix of socialization, training, and love. All dogs stay here in our home with us. We never take on more than 3 dogs at a time, and can book time for your pup to be here alone, with notice.
We treat the dogs who stay here like family, while also enriching their days with training, agility and play!
We look forward to helping you and your pup! Please let us know where you live, your dog's name, age and breed, and your training goals or needs.
